After the reading of this new work, the author Lorraine Liscio, spoke with the audience about the play, its inception and development, along with the project as in collaboration with the Boston Public Library’s extensive exhibit of medieval manuscripts. Liscio brings to her work as playwright years of academic work as Adjunct Professor in English at Boston College, Chair of Women’s Studies, published author, and francophile. In preparation for her new venture, she studied playwriting with Lezley Steele at Pulse Ensemble Theatre 2011-2013. She attended school in London, Paris, and New York City; graduated from Marymount Manhattan College; and later earned a MA in French from University of Vermont and PhD in English from Boston College.
